Hi There !!! Thank you for visiting my website. This website is dedicated for couplets (छंद / शेऱ) & poems (कविता / शायरी) in Hindi & Urdu Language. The couplets & poems written by me are marked as “Kuch Mere” and few work of others categorised as “Kuch Aapke“.
Hindi (Khadi Boli) is a direct descendant of later form of Classic Samskrit and classic Samskrti is descendant of an early form of Vedic Sanskrit and written in Devanagari script. Whereas Urdu is a “said” language which actually has nothing of its “own” and got “created” by borrowing words from Arabic/Persian/KhadiBoli and grammar of Samskrit/Hindi. Urdu got “cultivated” with the advent of invaders in Bharat and imposition of Persian language as the official language. Though initially it was written in Devanagari too but later its mostly written in Persian/Arabic script.
I’m an Engineer, self employed, with a knack for writing couplets & poems and this is my website showcasing my work. I live in Gandhidham, a city in Gujarat state in BHARAT aka INDIA. Gandhidham is center to two famous western BHARAT’s port viz. Kandla & Mundra, thus also is a shipping & logistics hub.
I wrote my 1st poem when I was in school, which was a political satire. It was funny and thus was appreciated by my family & friends. Friends encouraged me to write more & since then have been writing whenever time permits. Ironically, most of my previous work got lost during the devastating earthquake of 2001 & that put a stop of my writing. But recently, have started writing again, whenever I get spare time and the inspiration
Most of my writings are my interpretation and/or reflection upon things happening around, few imbibing reality of life & few idealistic or flight of fantasy.
आग होती है शोलों की सरगोशी कभी कभी,
जैसे इंतज़ार की राह पे ज़िन्दगी कभी कभी,ज़रूरी नहीं मुहब्बत ता-उम्र हर्फों मैं बयां हो,
Prem is my nickname.
ज़ुबाँ हो जाती है “प्रेम ” की ख़ामोशी कभी कभी.
